The Wayback Machine at Archive.org allows you to view old versions of your favorite websites. This can be especially useful if you want to see what changes your competitors have made over the last few months or even years. Who knows, it may give you some ideas for things that you might need to change on your own website.

It will give you a list of the changes and the dates the site was changed. You can go through them one at a time or, if you just want to see the start and finish, just find the first date on the far left panel and the latest at the very bottom of the last panel.

Word of caution!
Don’t try downloading huge websites, for instance, eBay or Amazon.com that host tens of thousands of pages, unless you have a huge hard drive. I haven’t tried downloaded any of these sites, but I would assume they would take a long time to download. We are talking several hours here, not minutes, even with a high speed connection.

 If you simply cannot afford to spend $10 or $15 a month for a paid service, then a free one such as FreeAutoBot will work. However, your list is the most important aspect of your business, so as soon as you can afford to switch to a paid service with a little more accountability, I would make the change.
