New computer viruses are being generated, exposed and disabled every day. These computer viruses are created often just to annoy us and to wreak chaos in our computer systems. Hereunder, I have described ten viruses currently cited as being the most widespread and being potentially able to cause the most harm. However, new viruses are being developed daily, so this list is by no means complete. The only thing you can do is stay vigilant, keep your anti-virus software updated, and stay aware of the current computer virus threats.

Virus: Trojan.Lodear:
A Trojan (from Trojan Horse) that tries to download files from a remote source. It will introduce a .dll file into the EXPLORER.EXE process causing system instability.

Virus: W32.Beagle.CO@mm:
A mass-mailing worm that reduces security settings. It can delete security-related registry sub keys and may block access to security-related websites.

Virus: Backdoor.Zagaban:
A Trojan that permits the compromised computer to be operated as a covert proxy and which may decrease network performance.

Virus: W32/Netsky-P:
A mass-mailing worm which spreads by emailing itself to addresses produced from files on the local drives.

Virus: W32/Mytob-GH:
A mass-mailing worm and IRC backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform. Messages sent by this worm will have the subject chosen randomly from a list including titles such as: Notice of account limitation, Email Account Suspension, Security measures, Members Support, Important Notification.

Virus: W32/Mytob-EX:
A mass-mailing worm and IRC backdoor Trojan similar in nature to W32-Mytob-GH. W32/Mytob- EX runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a distant intruder to gain access and control over your computer via IRC channels. This virus propagates by sending itself to email attachments gleaned from your email address book.

Virus: W32/Mytob-AS, Mytob-BE, Mytob-C, and Mytob-ER:
This family of worm variations has similar characteristics in terms of what they can do. They are mass-mailing worms with backdoor functionality that can be manipulated through the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) network. Additionally, they can spread themselves by email and by various operating system weaknesses such as the LSASS (MS04-011).

Virus: Zafi-D:
A mass-mailing worm and a peer-to-peer worm which replicates itself to the Windows system folder with the filename Norton Update.exe. It can then generate a number of files in the Windows system folder with filenames made up of 8 random characters and a DLL extension. W32/Zafi-D replicates itself to folders with names containing words like ’share’, ‘upload’, or ‘music’ as ‘ICQ 2005a new!.exe’ or ‘winamp 5.7 new!.exe’. W32/Zafi-D will also show a fake error message box with the caption “CRC: 04F6Bh” and the text “Error in packed file!”.

Virus: W32/Netsky-D:
A mass-mailing worm with IRC backdoor functionality which can also infect computers vulnerable to the LSASS (MS04-011) exploit.

Virus: W32/Zafi-B:
A peer-to-peer (P2P) and email worm that will reproduce itself to the Windows system folder as a randomly named EXE file. This worm will check for the presence of an Internet connection by trying to connect to google.com or microsoft.com. A bilingual, worm with an attached Hungarian political text message box which translates to “We demand that the government accommodates the homeless, tightens up the penal code and VOTES FOR THE DEATH PENALTY to cut down the increasing crime. Jun. 2004, Pécs (SNAF Team)”

Features of Sony Vio X

By: Gursel Batmaz
No-one can argue about the VAIO X Series’ design credentials. At 12.2mm, it’s precisely as thick as an iPhone, and its matte-black finish is reminiscent of a sheet of graphite (the only design oddity is its brown bottom). Even the screen drew admiring gasps: it’s wafer-thin, measuring 4.4mm when we clamped our calipers around it.
The main chassis is similarly slight. It’s so skinny the D-SUB port on the right-hand side looks oversized. There isn’t even room for a conventional network port, but rather than force people to lug around an adapter, Sony has cleverly created a hinged port: when you want to use it, the idea is to raise two tiny feet and this gives the hinge room to expand enough for you to slot in your cable.
Like other Sony notebooks, the keyboard on the VAIO X is island style, but at 88 percent of full size, it’s a bit smaller than most netbooks with 10- to 12-inch screens. Measuring 9.5 x 3.5 inches, the keyboard is about half an inch smaller in both directions than the Toshiba mini NB205, even though the VAIO X has a larger keyboard deck. This is because there’s about half an inch of space on either side of the keyboard. Read more »

Article Directories and Maximum Exposure

Article directories are great places for promoting your website or product through publishing articles elating to your niche or product. This method puts your article in front of many people who are interested in your product or service.  People who read your article will view you as an expert in the subject and are very likely to visit your site for more information.  Article directories are websites that house large selection of free articles in various subjects. The articles are put there by publishers who own copyrights to those articles. Each article has the publisher’s byline placed somewhere on the page,   either before or after the article, so that readers will know who wrote or owns the rights to the article. It can also give readers the ability to get in contact with the author.

How does it work?

Let’s assume that you are an affiliate for health and beauty product distributer. You write an article about the benefits and advantages of the product and how it can make a difference in people’s life and post that article in multiple directories. People who are looking for the topic you wrote about will read your article, see that you have good knowledge about the subject matter, and visit your website for more in-depth information about the product or service. They might even subscribe to your news letter, if, you are promoting one, or decide to buy from your website.  Your article has just brought you a new customer or a potential customer who is looking for your product.

It doesn’t end there, however. Assuming that you have posted your article to many directories, others who have similar products or services might want to use your article in their website. Since they have to include your byline with the article, it will mean more exposure for your website which will translate into more traffic and potential buyers at your site.

There are many article directories that you can utilize. You will want to put a copy of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. This should eventually bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new sales and more profit.

Easy to Read Articles and Contents

When writing articles, you want to keep your readers in mind. According to studies, the vast majority of internet surfers don’t read the entire webpage; rather, they just quickly scan over it to find information that is most relevant to their interest. Therefore, having a captivating title and eye catching subtitles, as well as adding bullet points will help your readers quickly scan over your page and capture the main message.

Visitors prefer sites that are set up so that they are easy to navigate through and read. Sites as such tend to attract more visitors to comeback and revisit them. The more you have people coming back to your site, the greater the chances you have to getting them to click on your important links. On the contrary, making your page difficult to read and navigate will turn visitors away from revisiting your site; therefore, causing you to miss out on many sales, or potential sales.
People will leave your site before they will even find out what you have to say or offer. Try to keep your article well organized and easy to read. This will insure that your visitors will keep coming back, and your site will continue to make you money.

The Importance of Keywords For Your Article

The Search Engine for all Your Mobile and Desk...

Keywords Density

Keyword density is an important part of optimizing your articles for search engines.  It is important to place keywords so that search engine spiders can recognize and index them as keywords, so that when someone searches for that keyword, your article or page comes up.

What is a Keyword?

A keyword is a word that appears in your article more than once, so that it stands out from the rest of the words in your content, otherwise all words in the article will be keywords.  Search engine spider will see that you have a word placed several times in the article and determine that your page may be useful to users who search for such a keyword.

What is Keyword Density?

Keyword density is the rate of keyword occurrence in the indexable words within the page or article. For example, a 400 word article will have a keyword density of 2% if the keyword is repeated 8 times within the article. The preferred keyword density varies from search engine to the other. The recommended keyword density is between 3-10%.

Over Optimizing

Keyword density and placement is important for optimizing your page or article for search engine searches; however, you do not want to over optimize your article by stuffing your content with too many of a particular word, which is referred to as “keyword stuffing”. Search engine spiders can detect that you are trying to trick it into placing your article high in the search engine results.  Instead, your page or site may be penalized by a search engine which will affect your ranking or get your site blacklisted.

Keyword Prominence

Keyword prominence referrers to where in the page your keyword appears. It is important to place keywords so that they appear more at the beginning of the article and towards the end, as well as including it in the Title and Meta tags.
